We advance science to provide students, educators, professionals, leaders and communities with evidence-based insights, therapies and resources. Who is eligible?

Membership in the Comprehensive Center for Pain & Addiction is open to University of Arizona faculty, staff, fellows and Designated Campus Colleagues whose work aligns with our mission, vision and values.

  • Faculty: Eligible to apply for nonsalaried, nontenure-eligible membership with the approval of their department chair.  
  • Staff: Eligible to apply for nonsalaried membership with the approval of their supervisor.
  • Designated Campus Colleagues and fellows: Eligible to apply for membership at the discretion of the center director. (To learn more about the Designated Campus Colleague program, visit the Human Resources website.)

A member is expected to:
  • Act as an ambassador and support the center mission, vision and values.
  • Complete the annual membership survey.
  • Contribute to the center through education, research or service (e.g., speaking at events, co-authoring publications, writing collaborative grants, participating in education initiatives, etc.).
  • Share information about grants, papers, presentations, etc., for reporting and archiving purposes.

Additional ways members might contribute include:

  • Acknowledge the center in publications, abstracts, presentations and event materials.
  • Fund budget management and route sponsored projects through the center.
  • Make other members and center leadership aware of opportunities (e.g., upcoming events, grant opportunities, education experiences).
