Education Overdose Prevention and Treatment
Pima CARES about you.
Pima CARES is a Pima County education program about overdose prevention and treatment for opioid use disorder, substance use disorder and chronic pain. We are responding to the need to educate healthcare providers and others in our local community about overdose prevention and substance use treatment. The education we provide is centered around using local data to understand overdose trends, provides continuing medical education to improve providers’ knowledge and confidence in treating substance use disorders and/or chronic pain, and promotes outreach to prevent overdoses.
