Sean P. Cronin is a program manager at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Comprehensive Center for Pain & Addiction. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona. Cronin leads workforce development and community education programs focused on health, substance use, and prevention. In this role, Cronin designs and runs both in-person and digital training programs, interactive workshops, and community events.

An expert at bringing together teams from different professional backgrounds, Cronin translates complex scientific and clinical research into easy-to-understand, accessible learning experiences. He also manages grant proposals and academic publications for the center.

Cronin  recently served as the lead author on an interdisciplinary study exploring how to design and run successful cannabis education programs for future healthcare professionals. Additionally, he co-authored two publications focused on medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD). The first study was a comprehensive review of ombudsman (advocate) programs within the MOUD space, and the second detailed the methods used by a community-led research group to design a potential MOUD ombudsman program for Arizona.
